Le Bontà del Capo

During our five-day stay on the Amalfi Coast, we ended up having dinner at Le Bontà del Capo three times. We first booked this restaurant simply because it was close to our hotel. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the prices were very reasonable. Best of all, they even offer a pickup and drop-off service — incredibly thoughtful! Highly recommended!

Walking into this restaurant with the full Amalfi Coast view feels like stepping into a fairytale—it’s absolutely stunning. The staff were friendly and professional, and since we had arrived a bit early with a reservation, they even let us choose our table (which was a good idea, as the place filled up within half an hour). My advice: come around sunset. You’ll get the perfect mix—daylight, the colourful sky as the sun goes down, and the changing hues as you move through your meal. Truly a fabulous setting. That said, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations. Our first course, Scialatielli ai frutti di mare (minimum two portions), was tasty, but the clams, mussels, and scampi weren’t fresh. The same happened with our second dish—the mixed grilled fish and grilled octopus with roasted potatoes. Unfortunately, the seafood wasn’t fresh, and the potatoes seemed reheated at least a couple of times. We ended with a lemon sorbet, which felt more like a supermarket one than homemade. Still, despite the food not living up to the incredible view, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. For the experience and the atmosphere, I would recommend visiting—just go knowing that it’s really the view that makes this place unforgettable.

Absolutely stunning view, especially at sunset and excellent, lovely and friendly service. Food was huge portion sizes and very affordable but very average tasting - we got the gnocchi, fish of the day and a starter which was lemon shrimp on provolone. Come for the gorgeous view, lovely service and huge portion sizes but don’t expect the food to be amazing!

Based on reviews was expecting a much better experience here. We were in Almalfi for a week and dined out for almost every meal so had plenty to compare against. Told server one of our party was celebrating a 50th birthday and we got a “congratulations” - that was it. Extremely strong cigarette smoke smell - there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant so not sure where that was coming from. The bread and fried potatoes were OK that was about it. Steak undercooked almost raw - was ordered medium well. Seafood ravioli appeared to be missing the seafood. Gnocchi was ordered without seafood. It arrived with pungent seafood pieces. The chicken entree appeared to be a flattened breaded piece - also not good. Side of vegetables all tasted the same. Overall just not good. The chef and manager both came out and apologized and removed several items from the bill including our transport fee (they picked us up and dropped us off). Not sure what was going on but was a big miss for our group.

A restaurant with a beautiful view, friendly service, and very good food. We went to dinner twice and it was delicious every time. We tried mussels in white wine as an appetizer, then pasta with zucchini and shrimps, pasta with seafood, and pizza Diavola. We tried also Tiramisu and lemon-pistachio cake for dessert. All dishes were very tasty and served efficiently. The restaurant is popular, so it's best to book a table to get the best spots with a view of the sea. Every time we visited, there was one or more celebrations there.

We really loved this place. Food was amazing, we had fresh fish of the day and the waitress cleaned it bones for us. It was really tasty and fresh. We had gnocchi that tasted sooo good. My husband had beef tagliata which came withe potatoes, it was perfectly cooked and marinated 👌 Wine was local, fresh and full of flavours View is spectacular too 10/10 experience!

A hidden gem in Conca dei Marini! The food was so exceptional that we returned for a second dinner just to explore more of the menu. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive throughout. With live music and a breathtaking sea view, the atmosphere was simply unforgettable. Highly recommend this restaurant for an unforgettable dining experience.

An amazing family run restaurant with an incredible view! Their menu is extensive with options for all eaters, and a wine list that will put anyone to shame! The only thing better than the food is the service: our waiters (yes, multiple because we went there twice!) were so kind and helpful. Wine recommendations were great, and some amazing desserts! Truly a highlight to our visit on the Amalfi coast.
